E-waste

We buy printed circuit boards, IT and telecommunications equipment, processors, random-access memories (RAM), hard disk drives, mobile phones, etc., that you have collected or generated during your production activities.

Printed circuit boards are divided into different categories based on their precious metal content. The following are some examples of different categories:

  • Low-grade boards that contain minimal amounts of precious metals and are coated with massive capacitors and other metal components that do not contain gold-plated contacts or connectors. For example, TV and radio circuit boards.
  • Medium-grade boards that include precious-metal-containing chips but also contain metal components.
  • High-grade boards that contain lots of chips and gold-plated connections but do not contain ferrous metals or batteries.
  • Mobile phone printed circuit boards, among which we differentiate between circuit boards of smartphones and circuit boards of older feature phones.

Assessment

The final purchase price will be determined after our expert has assessed the goods.

Generally, the purchase prices of printed circuit boards are in the range of 0.1–10 eur/kg, mobile phone printed circuit boards in the range of 7–20 eur/kg, and processors in the range of 8–140 eur/kg.

Processing

When the goods arrive at our warehouse, we will sort, weigh and assess them. The results of the assessment will be sent to the client for approval. The goods are then crushed and repackaged. Precious metal dust generated during the crushing process is collected into a special container and added to the crushed material which will then be sent for final processing. The crushed material is sent to our partner for raw material recovery.

We always provide an instrument of receipt and, if necessary, a letter of guarantee on the destruction of data on data carriers.
